Walk-ins are also welcome. However, depending on the number of appointments that day, we may need to schedule you to come back for the ultrasound appointment. At your walk-in visit, you will still receive a pregnancy test, options counseling, STD testing (if needed), and a consultation with a nurse. Walk-ins should arrive at least one hour before the end of the business day (3:30 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 7 p.m. on Thursdays).
During your appointment the patient advocate will go over all your pregnancy options and the community resources available to help you. Our medical staff will perform your pregnancy test and review your medical history. If the test is positive you will be offered an ultrasound to determine if you have a viable pregnancy. Since 31 percent of pregnancies won’t carry to term due to miscarriage, blighted ovum, ectopic pregnancy, etc., it is important to determine if your pregnancy is viable. The ultrasound will also tell you exactly how far along you are.
The nurse/sonographer will be able to answer any medical questions you have, including those regarding abortion procedures and STD/STIs.
At the end of your appointment you will be given a Personalized Solutions Assessment. This will have referrals to meet your specific needs.
A follow-up appointment may be scheduled if necessary. Your appointment will take about one hour.
